Bratislava Summer University for seniors
Lifelong learning programmes are here for everyone to acquire new knowledge or skills. Access to the latest information, motivation, and skills for using the resources available to benefit yourself and the environment are the key to supporting an active life for Bratislava residents of all ages.
Who Offers Lifelong Learning?
There are several organisations in Bratislava offering lifelong learning programmes:

The municipality also supports activities in this area and organises annual Bratislava Summer University for Senior Citizens. You can find more information below.
Who Is Lifelong Learning For?
Apart from specific groups, the learning programmes and courses are designed for the general public.

How Can I Participate and What Do I Need?
You can apply to the programmes by following the organiser’s instructions. Many courses are online – in these cases, you will need a computer.
Potential Limits of Access to Courses
Lifelong learning organisations also offer university of the third age (U3A) programmes. In these cases, age is a limiting factor for participants (only people aged 45+ or 50+ may attend) – as indicated by the organiser.
Price of Courses
For U3A programmes, courses cost around 60€ per school year for retirees and around 70€ for working adults. Some movement programmes cost as little as 30€. You can find more information in the organiser’s price lists.

Bratislava Summer University for Senior Citizens
The Bratislava Summer University for Senior Citizens (LBUS) is being organised by the city of Bratislava in cooperation with the Centre for Continuing Education at Comenius University in Bratislava ↗︎. In summer 2021, we held the 9th annual LBUS in Bratislava.
