Trolleybus Track Trenčianska - Hraničná

1. Activity: Plan of organisation of public transportation – new trolleybus line: Trenčianska – Hraničná

The activity is based on preparation of documentation of the Plan of organisation of public transportation, which will start during the implementation of project works and will serve as the base material for the tendering process for the construction works provider.

1. Activity: New trolleybus line: Trenčianska – Hraničná, which is to extend the current trolleybus track along Trenčianska Street towards Bajkalská Street, continuing to the right along Bajkalská Street to the current trolleybus track on Prievozská Street, connecting as a left turn in the direction exiting the city. Subsequently, at the crossing of Prievozská – Mierová – Hraničná, there will be a right turn from the current trolleybus track into Hraničná Street and another right turn to Mlynské nivy Street, with the line terminating there in a roundabout. Then, the track would return along Mlynské nivy Street, turning left into Hraničná Street and connecting directly into the current trolleybus track at the crossing of Hraničná – Mierová – Prievozská. This extension of the trolleybus line and preparation for the new 24-metre-long trolleybuses will need new trolleybus tracks, as well as modification to the current connection of trolleybus tracks on Prievozská, Gagarinova, and Mierová Streets.

The complete project documentation represents the optimal solution for construction of the new trolleybus line of Trenčianska – Hraničná. In the next stage, the recipient plans to carry out construction works according to the project documentation as prepared, and to meet other goals, increasing the efficiency of public transportation in the affected locations of Bratislava.

The proposed project is in line with the intervention logic of OP II programme, Priority Axis 3 – Public passenger transport, Specific Target: 3.1 Increasing the popularity of public passenger transport by modernisation and reconstruction of IDS and city track transportation infrastructure.
