The Integrated Regional Operational Program ("IROP") is the programming document of the Slovak Republic for the programming period 2014 – 2020, applicable from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2023. Its overall objective is to help improve the quality of life and secure the sustainable provision of public services with an impact on balanced and sustainable territorial development, and the economic, territorial and social cohesion of regions, cities and municipalities.

In order to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and prevent the increase of regional disparities within Slovakia, additional resources have been provided under the REACT-EU priority axis. The funds will be used for measures related to recovery from the pandemic crisis, including its social consequences, and to prepare for a green, digital and resilient economic recovery.

The IROP SO Department carries out activities to ensure a sound and smooth process of management, preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, financial management and control of the operational programme in accordance with the Agreement on the performance of some of the tasks of the Governing Body by the Intermediate Body.
