Bratislava City Hall has a fundamental archival fond concerning the city of Bratislava, capturing archival documents from the oldest preserved until the 1945. It is divided into several inventories:

  • Documents and letters
  • Official books, files and accounts

1. Documents and letters

Inventory of documents and letters I, II, III and IV (1245 - 1859

The inventories contain documents which, based on diplomatic point of view, were removed from the original City Archives. These documents are royal privileges, mandates, their true copies and letters received. The original signatures, which are written in the right corner of the regest (Lad., G, S, N, E), can also be used in the search. Documents from these inventories are available to study only in electronic form in the study room or by making digital copies for the researcher for an appropriate fee according to the price list.
